Torpedoes and ladles in steel plants serve as capacity buffers of hot metal from blast furnaces and feed buffers to steel making shops. Efficient coordination of torpedo and ladle operations is paramount for any steel plant to minimize hot metal dumping and ensure optimum supply to steel making facilities.

Real-Time RFID-Based Tracking

Our torpedo tracking system provides accurate and detailed tracking of torpedoes and ladles, continuously monitoring their exact position, weight, and operational status. The system registers idle time, identifies causes of delays, and maintains precise contact times with hot metal. Additionally, it monitors locomotive positions and automatically detects connections (or disconnections) with torpedoes and ladles anywhere across the steel plant.
